REFUND & RETURNS POLICY

This policy applies only to orders placed via Sani-99.com for delivery within the United Kingdom.

NATURE OF PRODUCTS

Our products are chemical disinfectants and sanitation formulations. They may:
  • Require dilution
  • Be activated upon mixing
  • Present contamination risk once opened
  • Be unsuitable for return once seal integrity is broken
Customers must read all product instructions and safety documentation prior to use.

CONSUMER CANCELLATION RIGHTS (14 DAYS)

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013:
  • Consumers may cancel within 14 calendar days starting the day after delivery
  • Cancellation must be communicated in writing
  • Goods must be returned within 14 days of cancellation notice
Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receipt of returned goods or proof of dispatch
Standard delivery charges (lowest available method) will be refunded. Premium upgrades will not.

STRICT CHEMICAL RETURN CONDITIONS

Due to the hazardous and contamination-sensitive nature of disinfectant products:
Returns will only be accepted where:
  • Products remain unopened
  • Tamper-evident seals are intact
  • Containers are undamaged and leak-free
  • Goods have not been diluted, activated, mixed, or partially used
  • Goods have not been stored in unsafe conditions
  • Goods have not been used in commercial, medical, veterinary, agricultural or industrial environments
We reserve the absolute right to refuse return of any chemical product that:
  • Presents contamination risk
  • Has broken seal integrity
  • Has been partially used
  • Cannot be safely transported
Unsafe returns may be destroyed without refund.

HYGIENE & SAFETY SEAL EXCLUSION

For health protection and hygiene reasons, cancellation rights do not apply once sealed goods have been unsealed.
This includes:
  • Liquid disinfectant containers
  • Powder sachets
  • Dosing systems
  • Activated formulations
  • Any tamper-evident packaging
This does not affect statutory rights where goods are faulty.

DEDUCTION FOR DIMINISHED VALUE

We reserve the right to deduct from any refund an amount reflecting loss in value resulting from:
  • Handling beyond reasonable inspection
  • Chemical activation
  • Repackaging
  • Commercial or professional use
  • Storage outside recommended conditions
  • Contamination or degradation

FAULTY GOODS PROCEDURE

If goods are believed to be defective:
Customer must provide:
  • Order number
  • Batch/lot number
  • Photographic evidence
  • Description of storage conditions
  • Description of dilution/application method (if applicable)
We reserve the right to:
  • Request return of sample for laboratory testing
  • Refuse refund if misuse is identified
  • Provide replacement rather than refund where appropriate
The short-term right to reject under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 generally applies within 30 days.

PRODUCT MISUSE DISCLAIMER

Scientific Sanitation Solutions Ltd shall not be liable for:
  • Incorrect dilution
  • Mixing with incompatible chemicals
  • Off-label application
  • Failure to follow instructions
  • Professional misuse
  • Secondary contamination
  • Environmental misuse
  • Non-compliance with sector regulations
  • Reliance on verbal or third-party advice

Customers are responsible for ensuring suitability for their intended application.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Nothing in this policy limits liability for:
  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Statutory rights that cannot be excluded
Subject to law:
  • Liability shall not exceed the purchase price paid.
  • We shall not be liable for indirect, consequential or special loss including:
  • Loss of profit
  • Loss of business
  • Loss of livestock
  • Clinical downtime
  • Reputational damage
  • Third-party claims

COMMERCIAL (B2B) PURCHASES

Business purchasers:
  • Do not benefit from statutory 14-day cancellation rights
  • Must inspect goods upon delivery
  • Must notify defects within 7 days
  • Are responsible for regulatory compliance within their industry
Commercial loss claims are expressly excluded.

CHARGEBACK PROTECTION

Customers must contact us before initiating any payment dispute.
Unjustified chargebacks will be contested with:
  • Delivery confirmation
  • Policy documentation
  • Product condition records
We reserve the right to recover costs associated with fraudulent or abusive disputes.

REGULATORY & RECALL AUTHORITY

We reserve the right to:
  • Withdraw products
  • Conduct safety recalls
  • Suspend supply
  • Request return of specific batches
Customers agree to cooperate in any recall or safety investigation.
